By Gary Niblock

Real Madrid attacker Cristiano Ronaldo was pleased with both his personal showing and the team's overall performance after his side's convincing 4-1 win in Malaga.

"I knew the goals would come and, most importantly, the team is performing well. It was a good game. I never said I was anxious, all that talk came from the press," he told La Sexta after the game.

Ronaldo also took the time to praise team-mate Mesut Oezil, who had another impressive game for Los Blancos.

"We are all very pleased with him - he is gaining in confidence with every game. We are also pleased with the other signings. [Sami] Khedira and Pedro Leon are good players."

Ronaldo's two goals helped Jose Mourinho's side back to the top of La Liga with 17 points attained from their seven games.

Los Galacticos ready to give €63 million to land the Milan and Brazilian sensation Alexandre Pato

Real Madrid are set to kick off the January transfer window with a huge bid for Brazilian and Milan striker Alexandre Pato, reported from Italy.

La Republica, a newspaper in Italy, claims that Milan striker has emerged as one of the key targets in the winter transfer window for the new era of Los Galacticos with coach Manuel Pellegrini trying desperately to strengthen his squad for a title run with rivals Barcelona.

It is thought that the Rossoneri have indicated a refusal to negotiate with the Spanish giants. But, in a similar circumstance to their pursuit of Kaka, it is thought that a suitable bid would force Milan to consider the offer.

Pato ironically was the man behind the Real Madrid’s downfall in the Champions League this season, scoring twice at the Santiago Bernabeu as Milan went on to secure a famous 3-2 victory.

He made the switch to the San Siro in 2007 and is contracted until the summer of 2012, but that is unlikely to deter President Florentino Perez from making an audacious swoop.

The 20-year old is generally regarded as Brazil’s best emerging talent, and will be an important member of the world's most crowned team Brazil for this year’s World Cup in South Africa.

Cristiano Ronaldo believes Los Galacticos Will Be The Best Team in the year 2010

The Real Madrid star has warned Europe that the Los-Galacticos are ready to storm the continent.

Cristiano Ronaldo was in buoyant mood as he looked ahead to the New Year. The most expensive footballer in history outlined his team's objectives in 2010 in an interview with Spanish sports daily Marca and made it clear that they want to displace Madrid's archrivals Barcelona as the best team in the world.

The Portuguese said, "Real Madrid will be the best team of 2010. We need to have the drive and motivation to win everything that comes our way.
"Fans and players dream about winning the Champions League. This year's final is at the Santiago Bernabeu and it's a great opportunity for us.

"Winning the Champions League [with Manchester United] was the greatest experience of my career and we don't want to let this opportunity slip through our fingers."

But the former Manchester United star and the 2008 Ballon D'or and FIFA World Player of the year warned that the Madrid supporters must not expect too much from the Champions League and that the team should concentrate on regaining the La Liga title first. He said that the only thing the club and it's fans talk about is Champions League, Champions League, Champions League, but we shouldn't because it puts a lot of pressure on the players.

"It is better to continue doing what we are doing, which is winning games. Good things will happen, but the players don't need any added pressure.
"Madrid needs to focus on winning the Champions League and La Liga, but it depends on other factors like luck, the draw. But I think we are going to win."
